GPTsorozat is a term used in Hungarian-language discussions to refer to a family or lineage of Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) models, or in some contexts to a fictional or media concept representing AI-driven content series. The term combines the acronym GPT with the Hungarian word sorozat, meaning series, and is typically employed in informal writing rather than as an official product name.

Origins and usage of the term vary. It emerged as GPT-based models gained prominence in the 2020s, with Hungarian speakers using GPTsorozat to discuss successive generations of models, their capabilities, and related tools. In many texts, GPTsorozat denotes a generic label for any GPT-style model, including applications such as chatbots, assistants, and API services, rather than a single concrete product line.

Scope and variants are flexible. While often referring to OpenAI’s GPT family, the concept is also applied to non-OpenAI GPT-like models developed by other organizations, such as EleutherAI or commercial equivalents, when discussed in Hungarian contexts. The term is thus best understood as a descriptive label rather than a formal designation.
