GPSmodtagere, also known as GPS receivers, are electronic devices that receive signals from Global Positioning System satellites to determine their location, velocity, and precise time anywhere on Earth. The GPS system consists of a constellation of at least 24 satellites orbiting the Earth, broadcasting signals that contain information about their position and the current time. A GPS receiver on the ground picks up these signals.
