Färgegenskaper refers to the intrinsic qualities and characteristics of color. These properties are fundamental to understanding how we perceive and interact with colors. Key aspects include hue, saturation, and lightness. Hue is the pure color itself, such as red, green, or blue. It's what we commonly think of when we name a color. Saturation, also known as chroma, describes the intensity or purity of a hue. A highly saturated color is vivid and strong, while a desaturated color appears duller or closer to gray. Lightness, or brightness, refers to how light or dark a color is. This can range from black (zero lightness) to white (maximum lightness), with various shades of gray in between.
These three properties, hue, saturation, and lightness, are often used in color models like HSL (Hue, Saturation,
