In tiling and wet-area installations, they serve as edge trims, movement joints, and cover profiles that create clean lines around corners, stairs, and door thresholds. Common materials for Fugenprofile include aluminum, stainless steel, PVC, and other plastics, as well as rubber or elastomeric compounds for flexible profiles. Shapes vary widely and include U-, L-, T-, C-, and H-profiles, edge beads, corner and stair profiles, as well as special profiles for flush or recessed installations.
