Fruktsyrer

Fruktsyrer, also known as alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), are a group of naturally occurring organic acids found in fruits and other natural sources. They are characterized by the presence of a hydroxyl group on the alpha carbon atom of the carboxylic acid. Common examples include glycolic acid, lactic acid, citric acid, malic acid, and tartaric acid. These compounds are widely utilized in the cosmetic and skincare industry due to their exfoliating properties.

When applied to the skin, fruktsyrer can help to break down the bonds that hold dead skin cells together on the surface. This process, known as exfoliation, reveals newer, healthier skin cells underneath.
