Frekvenciaugatás
Frekvenciaugatás, often translated as frequency scaling or frequency bending, is a technique used in some audio synthesizers and effects processors to alter the perceived pitch of a sound without directly changing its playback speed. Instead of slowing down or speeding up the entire waveform, frekvenciaugatás manipulates the fundamental frequency of the sound source. This is typically achieved by digitally altering the frequency at which the oscillator or digital signal processing algorithm operates.
The effect can range from subtle pitch variations to extreme, often metallic or distorted, shifts in tone.
This technique is distinct from pitch shifting that maintains the original duration of the sound, as frekvenciaugatás
