Fotopolümeerplaatide

Fotopolümeerplaatide, also known as photopolymer plates, are a type of printing plate used in various printing processes, most notably flexographic printing. These plates are manufactured from a photosensitive polymer material that undergoes a chemical change when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light. The process of creating a photopolymer plate typically involves exposing a blank photopolymer sheet through a negative film or a digitally imaged mask.

The areas of the photopolymer that are exposed to UV light become hardened or cured, while the unexposed areas remain soluble. After the exposure, the unexposed, uncured polymer is washed away using a suitable solvent, such as water or a specific cleaning solution. This washing process leaves a raised, three-dimensional image on the plate, corresponding to the design that will be printed. The thickness and flexibility of the photopolymer layer are carefully controlled to achieve the desired print quality and ink transfer.
