Flytbasert

Flytbasert is a Norwegian term meaning flow-based, used to describe approaches, systems, or processes designed around the continuous, uninterrupted movement of items, information, or value through a sequence of stages. The word combines flyt (flow) and basert (based). In Norwegian usage, it is applied across disciplines such as manufacturing, software development, and service design to emphasize optimizing the path from input to the end customer.

In user experience and service design, flytbasert thinking prioritizes smooth user or service flows, reducing cognitive load and unnecessary handoffs.
