Flygytor is a fictional personal flight system described in speculative technology and science fiction. It is intended to enable short-range, controlled flight for an individual, combining gyroscopic stabilization with rotor thrust to maintain attitude and altitude.

Performance and limitations: Fictional specs typically describe modest speed and altitude with short endurance. Figures often include forward speeds up to 20–30 km/h, hover ceilings of 20–40 meters, and flight durations of several minutes, limited by battery energy. Recharging or rapid battery swaps are common in imagined deployments.

Safety and regulatory context: Safety features in fiction include auto-hover, geofencing, obstacle avoidance, redundant propulsion, and automatic emergency landing. Certification and airspace rules are usually left implicit, reflecting real-world concerns about personal air mobility.

History and reception: The flygytor motif appears in speculative engineering narratives and early prototype demonstrations in fiction. It is not known to exist as a commercially available, certifiable device in the real world.
