Flexiblerollbare is a term used in German-language technical discussions to describe objects, components or systems that combine two related properties: mechanical flexibility and the ability to be rolled for compact storage or transport. In practice, flexiblerollbare devices are built on thin, bendable substrates and employ materials and architectures that maintain functionality when subjected to bending and rolling.

Key characteristics include a small bending radius, high fatigue resistance under cyclic bending, low thickness, and protective encapsulation to prevent moisture and oxygen ingress. Common materials include polymer films (such as PET or PI) and thin metal foils, often combined with flexible functional layers such as organic or inorganic semiconductors, conductive traces, and barrier laminates.

Applications span consumer electronics, wearables, energy, and packaging. Rollable displays based on organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) or e-paper, flexible solar modules, rollable batteries, and stretchable or rollable sensors are discussed in research and product development. In packaging, flexiblerollbare concepts enable roll-out of protective films or flexible electronics labeling. In wearables, they enable unobtrusive, curved forms.

Manufacturing considerations include ensuring mechanical durability during repeated roll-unroll cycles, achieving reliable barrier properties, and scalable production processes such as roll-to-roll coating or printing, lamination, and thin-film encapsulation. Challenges include material mismatch, thermal management, and cost.
