Fjallabyggð
Fjallabyggð is a municipality located in northern Iceland, in the northeastern part of the Westfjords region. It was formed in 2006 through the merger of the former municipalities of Ólafsfjörður and Siglufjörður, along with the rural area of Héðinsfjörður. The name Fjallabyggð translates to "Mountain Settlement," reflecting the area's dramatic landscape of steep mountains and narrow fjords.
