Fibrosbedömningar
Fibrosbedömningar, often translated as fibrosis assessments or assessments of fibrosis, refer to the evaluation of scar tissue accumulation in organs. This process is a common response to chronic injury or inflammation. When tissues are repeatedly damaged, the body attempts to repair them by producing collagen and other extracellular matrix components. In healthy states, this repair process is tightly regulated and leads to functional tissue regeneration. However, in chronic conditions, this repair mechanism becomes dysregulated, leading to excessive deposition of scar tissue, known as fibrosis.
Fibrosis can occur in various organs, including the liver (hepatic fibrosis), lungs (pulmonary fibrosis), kidneys (renal
Methods for fibrosbedömningar vary depending on the organ and the clinical context. Non-invasive techniques are increasingly
