Fibreoptiline

Fibreoptiline, often referred to as fiber optics, is a technology that uses glass or plastic threads to transmit data as pulses of light. These threads are incredibly thin, about the diameter of a human hair, and are bundled together to form optical fibers. Light signals are sent down these fibers, allowing for very fast and efficient data transmission over long distances.

The principle behind fibreoptiline is total internal reflection. When light traveling within the fiber reaches its boundary with the surrounding material at a shallow enough angle, it reflects back into the fiber instead of escaping. This bouncing effect keeps the light contained within the fiber, guiding it along its length.
