Featurerelease is a software release that introduces new user-facing capabilities, enhancements, or architectural changes. It is distinct from bugfix or security releases, which prioritize stability. In common practice, a featurerelease aligns with a product roadmap and may be delivered on a fixed cadence or via continuous delivery through feature flags.
