Featherston
Featherston is a small town located on the North Island of New Zealand in the Wellington region. It lies within the Horowhenua District, approximately 60 kilometres north of Wellington, and sits at the mouth of the Ohakune River on a coastal plain. The town is surrounded by agricultural land, primarily dairying and horticulture, with some small patches of indigenous forest. According to the last census, Featherston has a population of roughly 4,000 residents, a figure that has grown modestly over recent decades.
