Facialisben
Facialisben, commonly referred to as the facial bones, are the bones that form the anterior portion of the skull and give shape to the face. They contribute to the orbital margins, nasal cavity, and oral cavity, and provide attachment sites for muscles of expression and mastication. The facial skeleton consists of 14 bones: two maxillae, two zygomatic bones, two nasal bones, two lacrimal bones, two palatine bones, two inferior nasal conchae, one vomer, and one mandible. The maxillae house the upper teeth, while the mandible houses the lower teeth and forms the jaw joint with the temporal bones.
