Fachwerks
Fachwerks is a traditional timber-frame construction used in German-speaking parts of Europe, most notably in Germany, but also in parts of France, Switzerland, Austria, and the Low Countries. The term Fachwerk, literally "framework," describes the load-bearing wooden skeleton of a building, around which infill panels are placed. When these buildings are referred to in the plural, Fachwerks, the term highlights the technique and surviving structures.
