Fabagoflora
Fabagoflora is a genus of flowering plants in the family Fabaceae, commonly known as the legume family. The genus is native to the tropical and subtropical regions of Africa, Asia, and Australia. Fabagoflora species are typically shrubs or small trees, characterized by their compound leaves and showy, often fragrant flowers. The flowers are typically pea-like, with a standard petal and two wing petals, and are often white, pink, or purple in color. The genus is named after the French botanist Jean-Baptiste de Lamarck, who first described the genus in 1805. Fabagoflora species are often used in landscaping and horticulture due to their attractive flowers and ability to fix nitrogen in the soil. However, some species are also used in traditional medicine for their various health benefits. The genus currently includes around 20 species, with the most well-known being Fabagoflora racemosa, which is native to Australia and is often cultivated as an ornamental plant.
