FIBT

FIBT stands for Fédération Internationale de Bobsleigh et de Tobogganing. It was the international governing body responsible for the sports of bobsleigh and skeleton, administering international competition, setting rules, and overseeing safety and development efforts. In 2015, the organization rebranded as the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (IBSF). Since the rebranding, the FIBT name has been retired as the official title, though it remains a historical reference to the federation’s past.
