FER2013
FER2013, also known as the Facial Expression Recognition 2013 dataset, is a widely used benchmark dataset for the task of automatic facial expression recognition. It was released in 2013 and has since become a standard resource for researchers in the field. The dataset comprises over 35,000 facial images, each labeled with one of seven basic emotion categories: angry, disgust, fear, happy, sad, surprise, and neutral. The images were collected from the internet, and consequently, they exhibit a variety of real-world complexities such as variations in pose, illumination, occlusion, and image quality.
