Etterspørselssidereaksjon, also known as demand-side shock or demand shock, refers to an unexpected event that causes a sudden and significant change in the aggregate demand for goods and services in an economy. These shocks can be either positive, leading to an increase in demand, or negative, causing a decrease in demand.

Positive demand shocks typically occur when there is a sudden increase in consumer spending, investment, or government expenditure.
