EteläKarjalassa

EteläKarjalassa, often translated as South Karelia, is a region located in southeastern Finland. It is one of the nineteen regions of Finland and its capital city is Lappeenranta. The region is bordered by the Kymi River valley to the west, the Russian border to the east, and North Karelia and the North Savonia region to the north.

The geography of EteläKarjalassa is characterized by numerous lakes and forests, typical of the Finnish landscape. Saimaa, Finland's largest lake, significantly influences the region's topography and economy. The landscape is relatively flat with rolling hills.
