Erklärungsniveaus refer to the various levels of explanation that can be provided for a particular concept, process, or phenomenon. In educational and communicative settings, these levels of explanation are often used to convey complex ideas in a clear and accessible manner.

There are typically six levels of explanation, each with its own unique characteristics and purposes:

1. The lowest level, known as the "Fachbegriffe-" - or professional vocabulary level, involves explaining a concept using the most basic and technical terms associated with a particular field.

2. The next level is the "Übersichts-" or overview level, where a broad perspective on a topic is provided to place it in context and help the audience understand its significance.

3. The "Konzepte-" or concept level involves explaining a subject in terms of its underlying ideas, principles, and relationships.

4. The "Modell-" or model level represents a simplified version of a complex system or process, using analogies and metaphors to make it more understandable.

5. The "Prozess-" or process level provides a detailed and sequential explanation of a particular activity or set of events.

6. The highest level is the "Reflexions-" or reflective level, where the recipient is encouraged to reflect on their own thinking and learning, and to critically evaluate the information provided.

The selection of the most appropriate Erklärungsniveaus level depends on the target audience, the communication strategy, and the desired outcome of the explanation. Effective explanations often involve a combination of different levels to accommodate various learning styles and levels of prior knowledge.
