Eremitageslottet
Eremitageslottet, often referred to simply as The Hermitage, is a hunting lodge located in the Deer Park (Dyrehaven) north of Copenhagen, Denmark. It was designed by architect Lauritz de Thurah and built between 1734 and 1736 for King Christian VI. The castle was intended as a venue for royal hunts and lavish banquets. Its name, "Eremitage," translates to "hermitage," reflecting its secluded location and its original purpose as a place for quiet contemplation and royal recreation.
