Epävarmuusperiaatteella, also known as the uncertainty principle, is a fundamental concept in quantum mechanics. It states that there is a fundamental limit to the precision with which certain pairs of physical properties of a particle, known as conjugate variables, can be known simultaneously. The most famous example is the pair of position and momentum. The more precisely the position of a particle is determined, the less precisely its momentum can be known, and vice versa. This is not a limitation of our measuring instruments, but rather an inherent property of quantum systems.
