Epitácio

Epitácio is a municipality located in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. It is situated in the western part of the state, approximately 580 kilometers from the state capital, São Paulo city. The municipality's economy is primarily based on agriculture, with significant production of sugarcane and cattle raising. Its geographic location places it in a region with a tropical climate, characterized by hot summers and mild winters.

The history of Epitácio is closely tied to the expansion of agriculture in the region during the 20th century. The municipality was officially established in the mid-20th century, taking its name from Epitácio Pessoa, a former president of Brazil.
