Enteraalisia

Enteraalisia is a fictional parliamentary republic located on the Entera Archipelago, a chain of volcanic islands in the northern subtropics. The country covers about 8,200 square kilometers and has a population of around 1.9 million.

The name Enteraalisia combines the regional term Entera with the suffix -alisia. The archipelago features rugged coastlines, mangrove bays, and forests, with a climate that ranges from temperate in the highlands to tropical along the southern shores.

Maritime communities emerged in the medieval era; independence was proclaimed in 1849 after regional uprisings and formalized by a constitution adopted in 1992, establishing a parliamentary republic.

Enteraalisia has a unicameral Parliament with 60 seats elected by proportional representation. The president is head of state; the prime minister is head of government. The judiciary is independent, and civil liberties are protected by constitutional provisions.

The economy is diversified, with services, fishing, tourism, and renewable energy as key sectors. The country operates wind and tidal power facilities and maintains a major commercial port, Valora. The currency is the Enteran, abbreviated ENT.

The official language is Enterish, with regional dialects and minority languages. The population is ethnically diverse, with a strong seafaring heritage. Cultural life centers on coastal communities, with traditional music, crafts, and seafood cuisine.

Enteraalisia is a member of regional organizations and maintains a policy of non-alignment in international affairs. It participates in coastal safety and environmental accords and maintains a network of sister-city relationships with neighbors.
