Energianlähteettuuli, meaning "energy source wind" in Finnish, refers to the utilization of wind as a renewable energy source. This is primarily achieved through wind turbines, which convert the kinetic energy of wind into mechanical energy, and subsequently into electrical energy. Wind power is a clean and sustainable form of energy generation, producing no greenhouse gas emissions during operation.

The development of wind energy technology has led to increasingly efficient and powerful wind turbines. These can be installed onshore or offshore, with offshore wind farms often benefiting from stronger and more consistent winds.
