Endoteelist

In some contexts, the term describes the role of a person who maps and maintains this inventory, while in others it refers to automated tooling that continuously discovers and updates endpoint records.

Benefits and challenges: Proponents argue that a current end-to-end endpoint view supports governance, impact analysis, and change management. Critics point to the overhead of maintaining dynamic data, the risk of stale records, and the need for robust access controls.
