Endosomeiden
Endosomeiden, commonly referred to as endosomes, are membrane-bound compartments within eukaryotic cells that originate from the inward budding of the plasma membrane during endocytosis. They act as central hubs for traffic and sorting of internalized material, determining whether cargo is recycled back to the cell surface, routed to the Golgi, or delivered to lysosomes for degradation. Endosomeiden typically mature from early endosomes, which carry Rab5 and are relatively dynamic, into late endosomes marked by Rab7, with progressive acidification that influences cargo handling.
