The most common type of endeffector is the gripper, which can be either passive (such as vacuum cups or suction pads) or active (such as robotic hands with multiple fingers). Gripper designs vary widely, including parallel jaw grippers, vacuum-based systems, and articulated hands capable of grasping irregularly shaped objects. Another key type is the tool holder, which attaches to the end of a robotic arm to perform specific tasks like welding, cutting, or drilling.
