Elundiss is a fictional city-state that appears in fantasy literature and gaming settings. Positioned on the eastern coast of the continent of Euridia in the world of Eldoria, it is portrayed as a maritime and intellectual hub with a long trading tradition.

Etymology and geography: The name is said to derive from the ancient Elun language, meaning "place of light." The city lies at the mouth of the River Rhele, sheltered by basalt cliffs and a natural harbor. Its layout centers on a harbor district, the Grand Library district, and a ring of artisan quarter streets.

History: According to lore, Elundiss evolved from a fishing village into a commerce hub after a decree by the early Merchants’ Council granted market rights by the coastal crown. It flourished as a bridge between inland caravans and sea routes, weathering rivalries through alliances and guild power.

Economy: The economy centers on glassmaking, dyeing, book production, ship provisioning, and trade. The city hosts several prominent guilds—the Glassmiths, Dyers, and Bookbinders—that regulate standards and prices. It maintains a modest coinage used regionally and functions as a relay point for imported goods.

Governance and society: Elundiss is governed by a Magistrate elected from guild leadership, supported by the Assembly of Lamps, a rotating council drawn from major guilds.
