Elektronikblechen – also known as electronic sheets – are thin layers composed of metal or conductive polymer materials that are used to protect, shield, and dissipate heat in electronic devices. They are typically made from aluminum, copper, tin‑plate, or rolled conductive composites and can be produced by roll coating, burnishing, or powder metallurgical processes.

These sheets are characterised by a high surface‑area‑to‑volume ratio, excellent thermal conductivity, and, when metallic, high electrical conductivity. This makes them suitable for mounting heat‑generating components, providing electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding, and acting as interconnects on printed circuit boards. Their dimensions vary from a few millimetres to several centimetres wide and can be as thin as a few micrometres. Mounting methods include soldering, adhesive bonding, or mechanical fastening.

In semiconductor packaging they serve as heat sinks or interconnects; in medical and aerospace applications they provide shielding or precise component manufacturing. Recent developments include flexible electronic sheets that retain conductivity when bent, enabling wearable electronics and flexible displays.
