Elektrodihitsaus

Elektrodihitsaus, also known as electric arc welding, is a welding process that uses a welding power supply to create an electric arc between a workpiece and an electrode. The heat generated by the arc melts the base material and the electrode, which then combine to form a weld. This process is widely used in various industries due to its versatility and efficiency.

The basic components of an elektrodihitsaus setup include a welding machine, a welding electrode, a workpiece, and a shielding gas. The welding machine provides the electrical current, which can be either alternating current (AC) or direct current (DC). The electrode is a consumable rod that melts and contributes to the weld pool. The workpiece is the material being joined, and the shielding gas protects the weld from atmospheric contamination.

The process begins with the electrode being touched to the workpiece, creating an electric arc. The heat from the arc melts both the electrode and the base material, forming a weld pool.
