Electronenweerstand

Electronenweerstand, often simply referred to as electrical resistance, is a fundamental property of materials that quantifies their opposition to the flow of electric current. When an electric potential difference is applied across a conductor, electrons, the charge carriers, are forced to move. Electronenweerstand arises from the collisions between these moving electrons and the atoms or other charge carriers within the material. These collisions impede the directed motion of the electrons, thus reducing the overall current flow for a given voltage.
