Egwene al’Vre is a fictional character in The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, later continued by Brandon Sanderson. She is introduced as the daughter of Bran al’Vere, the mayor of Emond’s Field in the Two Rivers, and the close childhood friend of Rand al’Thor, Mat Cauthon, and Perrin Aybara. She is portrayed as intelligent, curious, and determined, with leadership instincts that become central to the series’ later events.
