Egfrid, also known as Ecgfrith, was a king of Northumbria who reigned from 670 to 685 AD. He was the son of Oswiu and Eanflæd. Egfrid ascended to the throne following his father's death, inheriting a kingdom that was a dominant force in Anglo-Saxon England.
