Efteling

Efteling is a Dutch theme park located in Kaatsheuvel, in the province of North Brabant. It opened in 1952 as a nature park with a fairy-tale forest and has since grown into one of the oldest and most visited theme parks in the world. The park emphasizes storytelling and immersive environments, with a design focus on fairy tales, myths, and wonder. A central feature is the Sprookjesbos, a fairy-tale forest that presents scenes from traditional tales with statues, dioramas, and animatronics.

The attractions mix dark rides, boat rides, and roller coasters. Notable examples include Droomvlucht (Dream Flight), Fata Morgana, and De Vliegende Hollander, as well as the roller coasters Baron 1898, Joris en de Draak, and the indoor dark ride Symbolica. The park is divided into themed areas that sustain a consistent, fantasy-inspired atmosphere.

In addition to rides, Efteling hosts live shows, parades, and seasonal events, and offers on-site accommodations, including the Efteling Hotel and Hotel Bosrijk, along with several dining and shopping options.
