ENAV S.p.A., commonly known as ENAV, is Italy's air navigation service provider (ANSP). It is responsible for air traffic management and related services within Italian airspace and, in some cases, on international routes that fall under its jurisdiction. ENAV operates as a public company with the Italian government as its majority shareholder.

The organization runs the core infrastructure for air traffic control, including en-route centers, terminal and approach facilities, and the communications, navigation, and surveillance systems that support ATM. Its services cover air traffic control, flight information, aeronautical information services, meteorological support, and the associated CNS/ATM technologies used to manage aircraft safely and efficiently from departure to landing.

ENAV operates within a regulatory framework established by the Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) and participates in European air traffic management initiatives under Eurocontrol and the Single European Sky program. Through these arrangements, the company contributes to cross-border coordination, standardization, and the modernization of Europe’s airspace, including the adoption of satellite-based navigation, automatic dependent surveillance (ADS-B), data-link communication (CPDLC), and advanced automation and surveillance systems.

In addition to serving domestic air traffic, ENAV provides services to international aviation and collaborates with global partners to enhance safety, efficiency, and capacity in the region.
