EEAland

EEAland is a fictional sovereign state used for explanatory purposes in discussions of regional integration and governance. Located on the fictional continent of Nordia, it covers about 20,000 square kilometers and has a population of roughly 2.7 million. The landscape includes coastal plains in the north, rolling hills in the center, and forested highlands in the south. The climate is temperate with moderate rainfall and several navigable rivers that support agriculture and transport.

Politically, EEAland operates as a constitutional democracy. The head of state is a president, while a prime minister serves as head of government. Legislative authority rests in a unicameral National Assembly with around 65 seats elected by proportional representation. The judiciary is independent, and local government units administer regional affairs. The country maintains a suite of constitutional protections for civil liberties and a customary system of checks and balances.

The economy is diversified, with services forming the largest sector, followed by manufacturing and agriculture. Key industries include information technology, clean energy, and logistics. EEAland emphasizes open trade, innovation, and green infrastructure. It participates in a fictional regional association that promotes the free movement of goods and people with neighboring states and supports cross-border cooperation on infrastructure and environmental initiatives.

Demographically, the population is ethnically diverse, with an official language (Eelan) and recognizing several minority languages. Urban centers account for a substantial share of residents, and education and health care are provided with universal access. Culturally, EEAland favors multilingualism and a tradition of civic participation in local and national affairs.

History notes: EEAland emerged in the early 1990s after secession from the Nordian Federation and subsequently joined regional economic and security accords within the fictional Nordian system.
