Duurzaamheidsgrenzen
Duurzaamheidsgrenzen, or planetary boundaries, represent a framework that identifies and quantifies critical Earth system processes. These boundaries define a safe operating space for humanity, beyond which the risk of abrupt and irreversible environmental change increases significantly. The concept was first introduced in 2009 by a group of international scientists, led by Johan Rockström.
