Drezdenkos
Drezdenkos is a genus of extinct mammals belonging to the order Artiodactyla, the even-toed ungulates. These animals are known from fossil remains primarily found in Europe and Asia, dating back to the Eocene epoch. Drezdenkos were relatively small herbivores, characterized by their short limbs and a dentition adapted for grinding plant material. Their exact phylogenetic position within Artiodactyla has been a subject of ongoing research, with various studies suggesting different relationships to modern artiodactyl groups.
The genus Drezdenkos was first described in the early 20th century based on specimens unearthed from Paleogene
Fossil discoveries have expanded our understanding of Drezdenkos diversity and distribution, with several species now recognized.
