Domeneoppdeling
Domeneoppdeling, or domain decomposition, is a numerical method used to solve large systems of equations, particularly those arising from the discretization of partial differential equations. The core idea is to divide a large computational domain into smaller, more manageable subdomains. These subdomains are then solved independently, or in an iterative fashion, with appropriate communication or coupling between them to ensure the overall solution is consistent.
This approach is highly effective for parallel computing environments. By distributing the subdomains across multiple processors,
