Dispersionsfarben
Dispersionsfarben, often translated as dispersion paints or latex paints, are water-based coatings in which the binder is a polymer dispersion. The pigments and fillers are dispersed in water, and on drying the water evaporates leaving a continuous film. They are widely used for interior walls and ceilings in German-speaking countries because they combine relatively low odor and easy cleanup with reasonable durability.
