Dioskouroi
The Dioskouroi, meaning "sons of Zeus," were twin brothers in Greek mythology, Castor and Polydeuces (Pollux). They were born from the same mother, Leda, but had different fathers. Castor was the mortal son of Leda and her husband Tyndareus, while Polydeuces was the immortal son of Leda and Zeus, who visited her in the form of a swan. This dual parentage is often depicted as Leda laying eggs from which the twins hatched.
