Dimensionene is a term used in speculative discussions of advanced materials to describe a hypothetical crystalline carbon-nanomaterial designed to exploit higher-dimensional properties. It is not a confirmed substance in current chemical literature.

Conceptually, dimensionene would consist of a network of light elements arranged in a framework that allows programmable dimensionality, enabling dynamic changes between 2D, 3D, or quasi-4D structures under external stimuli. In proposed models, it could exhibit extreme stiffness, high thermal conductivity, and tunable electronic properties.

There is no established synthesis. The term appears in theoretical papers and speculative syntheses where researchers imagine assembling nano-scale building blocks via self-assembly or chemical vapor deposition, using design principles borrowed from graphene and MOFs. It has not been demonstrated experimentally.
