Digitaaltrüki

Digitaaltrüki, also known as digital printing, is a modern printing method that transfers digital data directly onto a substrate without the need for printing plates. This process uses digital files, such as PDFs or image files, as the source for printing. Unlike traditional offset printing, which requires the creation of physical plates for each color, digital printing eliminates this intermediate step.

The primary technologies employed in digitaaltrüki include inkjet and electrophotography (laser printing). Inkjet printing works by spraying tiny droplets of ink onto the substrate. Electrophotography, on the other hand, uses toner powder that is electrostatically charged and then fused onto the paper. Both methods allow for on-demand printing, meaning jobs can be printed as needed without large minimum quantities.

Key advantages of digitaaltrüki include its speed for short-run jobs, variable data printing capabilities, and cost-effectiveness for personalized materials. Variable data printing enables each printed piece to be unique, incorporating personalized text, images, or barcodes.
