Diammoniumfoszfát

Diammoniumfoszfát is an inorganic salt with the chemical formula (NH₄)₂HPO₄. It is commonly known as DAP and is one of the most widely used phosphate fertilizers globally. DAP is produced by reacting ammonia with phosphoric acid. It is a granular material that is typically white or colorless but can sometimes appear as gray or brown due to impurities.

The primary use of diammoniumfoszfát is in agriculture as a source of both phosphorus and nitrogen, essential nutrients for plant growth. The phosphorus is crucial for root development, flowering, and fruiting, while nitrogen contributes to leafy growth and overall plant vigor. DAP is particularly effective in providing phosphorus to plants early in the growing season. It is often applied directly to the soil before planting or as a top dressing.
