Diabaasikivi, also known as diabase or dolerite, is a common mafic, holocrystalline, subvolcanic rock. It is characterized by its fine to medium-grained texture, which typically exhibits an ophitic or subophitic texture where lath-shaped plagioclase crystals are enclosed by pyroxene.
