Deterministického is a term that refers to determinism, a philosophical concept. Determinism suggests that all events, including human cognition, decisions, and actions, are causally determined by an unbroken chain of prior occurrences. In essence, if one knew the state of the universe at any given moment, they could, in principle, predict all future states. This implies that there is only one possible future.

There are various forms of determinism. Causal determinism is the most common, positing that every event is necessitated by antecedent events and conditions together with the laws of nature. Theological determinism argues that if a deity is omniscient, then the future is already known and thus predetermined. Logical determinism suggests that all propositions about future events are either true or false now, implying a fixed future.

The concept of determinism has significant implications for free will. If determinism is true, it raises questions about whether individuals truly have agency or if their choices are merely the inevitable outcome of preceding causes. Conversely, the belief in free will often implies a rejection of strict determinism, suggesting that individuals have the capacity to make choices that are not entirely dictated by prior events. The debate between determinism and free will is a long-standing and complex one in philosophy.
